Traditional tutoring is grade-focused and adult-led, which leaves a relatability gap. SkillLynx closes it with peer mentorship — younger children learning from teenagers who were sitting in the same seat a few years ago.
Hi, we're Sana and Bojana — two mums who've called Dubai home for years, raising our own kids in a city that moves as fast as this one does. Watching them grow up here, we kept noticing the same gap: plenty of tutoring, plenty of activities, but very little that actually built confidence, character, or a sense of responsibility — the things we most wanted for them.
So we decided to build it ourselves. SkillLynx is our answer to a question we kept asking each other at school pickup: what if learning in this city looked different? What if our older kids weren't just finishing school, but actively shaping the younger ones coming up behind them — and what if our younger kids learned best not from another adult, but from someone just a few years ahead, someone they actually want to be like?
We're not education professionals by trade. We're two parents who wanted to give Dubai something we couldn't find for our own children, and who believe every young person here has something worth teaching, if someone gives them the chance.

A ten-year-old doesn't open up to a tutor the way they open up to a sixteen-year-old who was stuck on the same thing a few years back. That's the gap SkillLynx was built to close. Children learn faster and more openly from someone just a little older — someone who still remembers what it felt like not to understand, and who talks to them like a peer instead of an authority figure.
For the older kids, this is bigger than a part-time job. Mentoring hands a teenager real responsibility for the first time — someone else's progress now depends on their preparation, their patience, their follow-through. That's how confidence and leadership actually get built: not in a classroom, but by being trusted with something that matters.
And it doesn't end when the session does. Every mentor's sessions and hours are tracked and verified on the platform, building toward a certificate of leadership and community impact — something real to put alongside grades on a university application. In a city as young and ambitious as Dubai, that's not a small thing.
Attends sessions, builds a skill, and tracks progress with their mentor.
Vetted, trained and matched. Delivers sessions, earns a payout and builds a verified record.
Holds the account, gives consent, approves every session, and supervises.
Mentors are young people too. Our safeguarding protects them as much as it protects the children they mentor.
We're a small team and we read everything. If you're a parent, a school, or a venue interested in partnering with us, we'd like to hear from you.
